No. We will teach you everything you need to know to launch your startup. We assess potential participants based on their potential to be successful startup founders, not their previous startup experience.
No. We will teach you how to identify and validate a venture-backable problem to build a business around. It’s better if you don’t have an idea already. Many founders have never learned how to identify and validate problems to ensure the problem they are solving is real, large, and significant. This often leads to early failure or the inability to grow the business.
While our business is not based on providing educational programming, our success depends on the performance of the teams we invest in. This program gives us access to a pool of vetted potential founders to invest in who already have the foundation that we need them to have. This pool of founders we wouldn’t usually have access to increases the chances of success for the companies we invest in.
Most investors are also looking for founders in the same places. They do this because they assume that founders who attend certain schools, work at specific companies, and live in certain cities will already have the foundation needed to increase their chances of success. There are many problems with this assumption. We believe there is significant opportunity in finding talented people in places where other people aren’t looking.
No. The accelerator will be run entirely online. However, there will be a culminating event at the end of the accelerator in Philadelphia, PA, which we encourage participants to attend.
No. You will have time to get to know your fellow participants throughout the program and the opportunity to build teams during the program.
